Jody looks ahead to Saturday at Sudbury

On Saturday Heybridge Swifts travel to relegated AFC Sudbury, who seem to have found their feet in the North division in recent weeks. Their formidable form was emphasised with a 5-1 mid week victory over last seasons champions Brightlingsea Regent.

Swifts go into their 4th away game on the spin with defenders Jack Cawley & Phil Anderson both back in contention following injury.

Manager Jody Brown was keen to reiterate what a tough opponent Sudbury will prove to be;

“Recent midweek cancellations at Canvey and at home this Tuesday have disrupted our progress a little, but we are working very hard on our preparation for each game”

“Sudbury are playing some tremendous football, scoring many goals, and in Danny Laws they have an experienced manager that can coach as well, so they’ll be organised and ready for us”

“With Anderson back available, with the exception of Lewis Dark & the loanees, we are at full strength now”

“We want to win every game, but just like Met Police in the cup last week, sometimes you have to respect your opponents & appreciate how good a point away from home would be”
