Swifts begin county cup campaign at home to Bowers

By JAMES COLASANTI

HEYBRIDGE will look to maintain their proud recent record in the Essex Senior Cup by starting this season’s campaign with a win against division rivals Bowers on Tuesday (November 14).

Swifts, losing finalists to Concord in 2016 and beaten by eventual champions Chelmsford in the semi-finals last season, welcome Rob Small’s in-form Bostik North side to the Aspen Waite Arena in a match which will kick-off at 7.45pm.

It is one of three cup competitions Heybridge are still competing in after Saturday’s 2-1 FA Trophy success at Dorchester.

Swifts also now know they will face star-studded Billericay Town in round three of the Velocity Trophy on Wednesday, November 22, after the Blues knocked out Maldon last week.
