Spaces still available for popular Swifts youth football course

THERE are still spaces left on Swifts’ final youth football course of the summer holidays.

The popular programme has already been run over three separate weeks during the school break and the next one will be held over two days – Tuesday, August 28, and Thursday, August 30.

The latest course in mid-August hosted 30 youngsters and featured coaching from FA Mentor David Streetley, ex-Burnley and Reading midfielder Glen Little, and Heybridge first team manager Jody Brown.

Swifts public relations officer Susan Little said: “The boys and girls were given the opportunity to learn and play football in a fun and relaxed environment.
“Even when the rain threatened to dampen the fun the children all battled on regardless.

“They even got a chance for a few games indoors, including Simon Says, a Floss challenge, football quiz, and even dodge ball over the slightly rain extended lunch break.

“And feedback we got from one parent was their child loved the course, which is really pleasing.”
