Swifts aiming for third win on the bounce against in-form Brentwood

SWIFTS will bid to make it three wins from three under new manager Julian Dicks when in-form Brentwood visit the Aspen Waite Arena on Saturday.

Victories over Mildenhall and Bury Town have moved eighth-placed Heybridge to within a point of the Bostik North play-off spots.

A Swifts XI also enjoyed a 3-0 friendly win over Olympian side Epping Town on Tuesday evening.

But 13th-placed Blues have enjoyed a terrific fortnight too with a draw against leaders Basildon followed by 4-1 wins over Soham in the league and Marlow in the FA Trophy.

Brentwood are managed by Craig Shipman and have a strong former Concord contingent in their ranks with John Easterford (player/assistant manager), Tony Stokes (striker) and Miki Hood (coach).

Dicks has continued to re-shape his Swifts squad with the additions of utility player Joe Linley (ex West Ham and Aston Villa), winger Alex Clark (ex-Southend United and Harlow Town), midfielder Elliot Capel (ex-Maidstone) and striker Rueben Mudd (ex-Colchester United).

What promises to be one of the day’s best games in the division kick-offs at Scraley Road at 3pm on Saturday.
