LUKE WILSON says he signed for Swifts this week because he feels they will have a genuine crack at promotion this season under new manager Julian Dicks.
The commanding centre-half, who was skipper at former club Coggeshall, also used to play for Bowers, Billericay and Grays.
And he turned out for a Sealand side managed by Dicks in a tournament on the Isle of Wight in 2013.
Wilson (pictured above) said: “Having played for Julian previously I know his style and enjoy the way he does things.
“And his experience in the game gives me enough confidence that Swifts will be there or there abouts in the Bostik North promotion race come May.”
Swifts have moved up to fourth after three straight wins under Dicks.
Tomorrow (Saturday, November 27) at 3pm they host a Felixstowe side who are 12th and drew 2-2 at Tilbury last weekend before a midweek 3-1 league cup win against Northwood.
