SWIFTS midfielder Harrison Chatting says they are ready for a battle of attrition ahead of tomorrow’s Bostik North visit of Barking.
Chatting (pictured by Alan Edmonds) has been in terrific form under new boss Julian Dicks with six goals in seven games, but admits defensive discipline and a will to win which might prove decisive in tomorrow’s Bostik North clash at Scraley Road.
He told episode 35 of the #SwiftsCast: “This week has been mainly high-intensity training and working hard.
“And hopefully we can replicate that against Barking because we know Justin’s team will be hard-working, will get in you face and will have quality.
“So we must match them and then hopefully our attacking qualities will shine through and we can get the result.”
Swifts will start the game seventh in the table following a 3-2 defeat at Wakering last weekend. Barking are 12th in the division after a 2-1 home win over Soham Town.
Joshua Davison put the Blues ahead with his first goal for the club and former Waltham Abbey star Darelle Russell scored what would prove to be the winner after Soham pulled a late goal back.
Barking are managed by Justin Gardner, who previously built a very talented Aveley side and also had a coaching role at Glenn Tamplin’s star-studded Billericay Town.
Kick off at the Aspen Waite Arena is at 3pm.
