IN A NUTSHELL: Swifts moved into the next round of the county cup after a dramatic 2-1 penalty shoot-out win against their National League hosts. The Bostik North side produced a battling second-half performance after a shaky start. Swifts manager Julian Dicks was rightly pleased with the work rate and performance as his side recorded their second win at Victoria Road in this competition in three seasons.

KEY ACTION: Swifts started well with good passing and movement but the Daggers took the lead with a good run and low strike from Shamir Mullings. At half-time a comeback looked a tall order against a side of full-timers but the introduction of in-form Swifts midfielder Harrison Chatting proved crucial and they started to dominate play. And it was skipper Kreshnic Krasniqi who scored a 66th-minute equaliser when his run on to a through ball beat the offside trap and he coolly slotted home from an acute angle after rounding former Swifts loanee keeper Lewis Moore. Swifts defended superbly in the second half and the match went straight to penalties. Many of the early attempts were missed but Swifts came out on top thanks to strikes from Odei Martin and a crucial winner from Joe Gardner, who kept his nerve well.

SWIFTS STAR MAN: Alieu Njie. Solid at the back alongside Swifts newboy Luke Wilson.

SWIFTS DEBUTS: None.

INJURY CONCERNS: Swifts midfielder George Craddock came off with a knock in the second half.
