IN A NUTSHELL: Swifts recorded their sixth competitive win in seven games under Julian Dicks and remain unbeaten under the West Ham favourite after a battling win in front of a home crowd of 357 – the biggest at Scraley Road so far this season.

KEY ACTION: Swifts took a well-deserved lead when Matt Price brilliantly whipped his left footed shot into the top corner. And soon after the former Brentwood star had another effort cleared off the line. Harrison Chatting (pictured by Alan Edmonds) made it 2-0 against his former side on 49 minutes with what would prove to be the winning goal. The in-form midfielder latched onto a great through ball and slotted it underneath onrushing keeper Harry Palmer. Swifts debutant Elliott Ronto struck a powerful shot just wide of the post soon after Dan Walker then had his shot saved well by Palmer, who was keeping Canvey in the game. Canvey pulled a goal back with 20 minutes to go when Jake Jolliffe fired powerfully into the bottom corner. The Gulls piled on the pressure for the remaining minutes, forcing home keeper Chris Haigh to make two more strong saves from close range.

SWIFTS STAR MAN: Chris Haigh, who produced some vital stops to secure another big win.

SWIFTS DEBUTS: Elliott Ronto, Jack Adlington.

INJURY CONCERNS: None.

ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: 7/10
