Swifts look to continue great run against Marc Harrison’s rejuvenated Tilbury

By JAMES COLASANTI

SWIFTS will be aiming for their third Bostik North win on the bounce when they host a rejuvenated Tilbury side at the Aspen Waite Arena on Saturday (Dec 8).

Julian Dicks’ side moved into the play-off places with a battling 1-0 win at fellow promotion-chasers Grays last weekend.

The Dockers are great form under new boss Marc Harrison, who took over from Joe Keith last month.

Under Harrison (pictured) they have picked up 10 points from a possible 12 with former Canvey striker George Sykes in red-hot form for the club.

Harrison has faced Swifts already this season as manager of Basildon United in a victory for the Bees in late September which turned out to be Jody Brown’s last game in charge of the club.

Harrison’s team has quality throughout and feature three of his former Basildon players in the shape of defender Joe Burgess, and midfielders Tommy Barton and Oli Spooner.

The Essex derby promised to be one of the games of the day in the Step 4 division and kick-off at Scraley Road is at 3pm.
