SCORERS (MINUTE): Sam Mulready (14), Callum Russell (54, 63) / Kreshnic Krasniqi (23)

IN A NUTSHELL: Swifts suffered a disappointing second league defeat under Julian Dicks and a win for leaders Bowers saw the gap between them and the now third-placed Heybridge stretch to six points. There was a start for popular Swift Reece Morgan at right-back on his return to the club.

KEY ACTION: Heybridge started well but the hosts took the lead against the run of play with a goal from Sam Mulready. But the visitors were level nine minutes later when skipper Kreshnic Krasniqi scrambled the ball past keeper Josh Pope (that goal is pictured by Alan Edmonds). Just before the break Swifts keeper Chris Haigh made a superb save to ensure it was level at the break. Heybridge’s Jack Adlington was then denied by an incredible save from Pope and, in the 55th minute, Callum Russell made it 2-1 to Soham. And when Russell added a third soon after Heybridge had it all to do. They nearly pulled one back when another Adlington shot was again saved well by Pope. Swifts defender Toib Adeyemi also went close with a later header.

SWIFTS STAR MAN: Kreshnic Krasniqi. The skipper scored a good goal and was a shining light on a disappointing day.

SWIFTS DEBUTS: Reece Morgan (a new debut for a player who has been with Swifts before).

INJURY CONCERNS: None.

ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: 7/10
