SWIFTS will be looking for a bit of revenge on Saturday when they host a Wakering side who ended their ten-game unbeaten run in mid-November.
That 3-2 loss at Burroughs Park was a first defeat for Heybridge under boss Julian Dicks and saw the disputed second-half dismissal of Swifts’ top-scorer Matt Price for an alleged kick.
The clash ended with Swifts skipper Kreshnic Krasniqi (pictured by Alan Edmonds) pulling a late goal back to set up a tense finish.
It was also a game in which Swifts were bidding to move back into the play-off places against a Rovers side then in 12th spot and then managed by Garry Kimble.
Four months later, Rovers have a new interim player-manager in the shape of Stephen Butterworth and are 16th and looking over their shoulders after a 2-0 defeat at Barking on Tuesday evening.
Heybridge, fresh from a terrific 2-1 win at Canvey last weekend, will start the game in third after Maldon moved above them and into second following an impressive 5-1 midweek victory at Sudbury.
Kick-off on Saturday at the Aspen Waite Arena is at 3pm.
