Swifts won through in a penalty shoot out after an enthralling encounter with a side from a division higher in front of a bumper crowd at the Aspen Waite Arena last night.
Swifts slipped to their first defeat in 20 matches in 17/18 so far, in their 10th competitive game of the season, despite dominating for long periods at the excellent Wardale Williams stadium on Saturday.
The home side looked every inch the favourites in the opening 20 minutes of the game as Swifts had to work hard to keep their strong and athletic hosts at bay.
